Today marks Dior's latest foray into the documentary world, as the French luxury fashion house unveils Dior in Scotland, a film capturing the collaborative journey that culminated in Maria Grazia Chiuri's 2025 Cruise Collection. The project traces the influences of Scotland's heritage on the brand, from its historical tartan to royal legacies, while traversing its rugged and wildly beautiful terrain, to explore the deeply entwined relationship of fashion with the fabric of Scotland's landscape and culture.

The result is an genuine feat of storytelling. The documentary opens up the complexities of creating the luxury cruise collection, one which sought to authentically celebrate the rich tapestry of a country steeped in history and traditions.

The film gives us an intimate look into Chiuri's creative process, from her early visit to the Dior archives from which she drew her initial inspirations, to Scotland's breathtaking countryside, where she experienced the interwoven traditions of the country's ancestry and artistry which remain central to its culture.

Chiuri immersed herself in the creation of garments, from Harris Tweed Hebrides to Johnstons of Elgin, meeting with these rare artisans who have perfected these inherited crafts while using traditional methods. We also get a personal glimpse into the works of artist Pollyanna Johnson and Le Kilt founder Samantha McCoach, whose classic pieces blend her Scottish heritage with the modern fashion landscape.

Set in the breathtakingly landscaped gardens of Drummond Castle, Dior's 2025 cruise collection took on a fantastical, almost magical energy, no doubt drawing on its surrounding landscape that remains steeped in mythology. In the film, it's not fairies and folklore that are the focus, but the treasured lore passed down through lineage in the form of traditional textiles.

A premiere of the documentary is being shown in London later today, but we're giving you an exclusive opportunity to view it first, right here:
