Did Kim Kardashian Recycle Beyoncé's Look For Met?

By now, the whole world has fangirled over Kim Kardashian looking stunning in a gold chainmail Versace dress at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday night.

However, it’s now pictures of her second black bondage-style dress by the Italian fashion brand that has everyone comparing the outfit to one once worn by Beyoncé.

For her second look at the star-studded occasion, Kim opted for a black Versace number with a caged corset and buckled straps leading to the neckline. She teamed the look with see-through heels and a sleek black ponytail.

However, fans of the star have been quick to notice that the mother-of-three’s dress is identical to that worn by Queen Bey in 2011 for a photo shoot with Complex magazine.

Celebrity entertainment website The Shade Room took to Instagram to call out the similarities between the looks, writing:

Far from pitting the two women against each other, we’re loving their continued sharing of fashion inspiration. (FYI, Naomi Campbell also wore the Versace look way back in 2014 and no one batted an eyelid.)

For example, in October Beyoncé - who failed to attend this year's Met Gala - carried an Alexander Wang x Judith Leiber crystal-covered ‘money roll’ clutch to the Tidal x Brooklyn benefit concert for hurricane relief.

However, the clutch was first sported by Kim days earlier to complement her all-black look.

Kim K’s Bey-inspired fashion moment comes months after it was rumoured the pair are continuing to feud with each other.

In March, the Coachella headliner released her song ‘Top Off’ with the lyrics ‘I break the internet, top two and I ain’t number two’, which was widely thought to be referring to the media mogul’s Paper magazine #BreaktheInternet cover in 2014.

Meanwhile, the stars’ husbands have also endured a complicated relationship over the years, culminating in Kanye West making a public criticism of Jay-Z on stage before his hospitalisation for a 'psychiatric emergency'.

Last week, West opened up about his former BFF and collaborator in a two-hour interview with American radio presenter Charlamagne tha God.

Discussing Jay-Z’s no-show at his nuptials to Kim in 2014, the rapper/producer said: ‘Respectfully, I have to say I was hurt that they didn't come to the wedding.

‘I understand they were going through some things, but if its family, you're not gonna miss a wedding.’

Kim attended this year's Met Gala without her husband, but was quick to reveal the reason behind his lack of attendance on Twitter after he shared a snap of his wife.

‘Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you're only finishing up 5 albums,’ she tweeted her fans.
