If anyone knows how to make an entrance, it's Beyoncé. The Golden Globe nominee sent the Beyhive aflutter last night, but it wasn't just her gown, whose puffy gold sleeves looked like a freshly popped bottle of champagne. That's right, folks: Queen Bey appears to have made her her bodyguard carry her own alcohol to Hollywood's biggest party.
The show-stopping entrance was spotted by Amy Kaufman, an entertainment reporter for the Los Angeles Times, who tweeted a photo showing the alleged incident.
"Beyoncé and Jay-Z just walked in," she tweeted. "They're waiting until Kate McKinnon finishes speaking to take their seats. Is their bodyguard carrying bottles of alc for them?"
Beyoncé knows how to make an entrance on her own time + I love that so much about her. 😍 https://t.co/cQ3OyCEV84— 𝕮𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖙 𝕶𝖎𝖒 💥 (@TheCourtKim) January 6, 2020
Queen Bey received instant praise from the Beyhive, who pointed out that she made an entrance reserved only for a queen.
"Beyoncé knows how to make an entrance on her own time, and I love that so much about her," Beyhive member Court Kim tweeted with a heart-filled emoji.
Bey, who was a nominee for best original song for her Lion King power ballad 'Spirit' did not walk away with a Globe on Sunday, losing to Elton John's Rocketman anthem 'I'm Gonna Love Me Again'.
Though she did not walk away with one of those elusive golden statues, she walked away with an award from us for best Golden Globes entrance in history. In case you had any doubts in your mind, you have now been presented with indisputable evidence that Bey is living royalty. ALL HAIL QUEEN BEY!
