Dez Bryant officially joins Ravens 53-man roster ahead of Tuesday's game against Steelers
Dez Bryant is officially back on an NFL roster. After two games being elevated from the practice squad, Bryant joined the Baltimore Ravens’ 53-man roster Saturday.
Bryant announced the news on Twitter, posting a picture of himself with the contract. Bryant said he was “beyond thankful” to be back on an NFL roster.

While Bryant has appeared in two games with the Ravens, he wasn’t on the team’s 53-man roster until Saturday. Bryant was technically a member of the practice squad for those games, and was elevated to the Ravens to cover for an injury in Week 9 and a COVID-19 situation in Week 11.
It’s the first time since 2018 that Bryant has been on a 53-man roster. Bryant signed with the New Orleans Saints that season, but tore his Achilles in his second practice with the team.
Dez Bryant looking to make impact with Ravens
Bryant wasn’t a major factor for the Ravens in Week 9. He played just two snaps during that contest, and did not receive a target. Bryant was far more active in Week 11, playing 54 percent of the team’s offensive snaps against the Tennessee Titans. He caught 4 passes for 28 yards during the 30-24 loss. It was the first time Bryant caught a pass in an NFL game since 2017.
Bryant will be looking for more when the Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday. That game was supposed to be played Thursday, but was moved after multiple Ravens were placed on the COVID-19/reserve list. The Steelers are also dealing with positive COVID-19 tests.
