Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk were introduced on the set of Glee in 2014 and got engaged three years later. Over the years, they've been incredibly open and honest about their relationship, including their decision to not move in together until a year after they wed. Here's a look back at where it all began for the couple and all the major milestones since.

2014: Gwyneth, a close friend of Ryan Murphy, and Glee co-creator Brad meet on the set of the series when Gwyn appears as Holly Holiday.

September 2015: The couple make their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of Brad's new show Scream Queens.

September 2017: Brad shares a sweet birthday tribute on Gwyneth's 45th birthday. “This is the most beautiful woman of all time and today is her birthday. We are all so lucky that she came into the world (but no one is luckier than me). Happy Birthday, Love.”

He adds: "PS - this is pretty much the most #Gwyneth pic I could find - it has pizza, red wine, her phone and that f*cking perfect smile."

November 2017: It's first reported the pair are engaged, but there's no official word from Gwyneth or Brad... yet.

November 2017: The Iron Man star shares a picture of her ex-husband Chris Martin and future husband Brad enjoying brunch. "Sunday brunch #modernfamily," she captioned the picture of them both smiling at camera.

January 2018: The couple cover Goop magazine and release a statement confirming the exciting engagement news: "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship."

May 2018: Oscar winner Gwyn appears on Good Morning America and adorably gushes over Brad. "It’s a very happy time, I have to say. I’m super lucky in that I have these incredible relationships in my life. To feel that love and support from our community is really, really special. It just makes me cry every time."

September 2018: They get married in an intimate ceremony hosted at Gwyn's New York home. The likes of Cameron Diaz and Robert Downey Jr are in attendance.

October 2018: Gwyneth opens up about Brad, telling Marie Claire UK: "For a while, I thought, I don’t know if I’d ever do it again. I have my kids - what’s the point? And then I met this incredible man, who made me think, no, this person is worth making this commitment to. I’m very much the marrying kind."

August 2019: After a year of marriage, the pair - who both have children from their previous marriages - move in together. "Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month," she tells InStyle. "I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun."

September 27 2019: Brad shares another incredibly sweet birthday tribute for his wife. "Today is Gwyneth’s birthday so I’m just going to say it - she’s the greatest human being ever. She’s not perfect - her sense of humour can be a little on the dirty side, she gets very angry at other drivers, isn’t that cheery before her first cup of coffee, considers dehydration to be a character flaw and improperly seasoned food hurts her feelings. Even with all of these imperfections, her gifts elevate her.”

September 29, 2019: "Year one, done," the actor writes alongside a selfie as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

January 2020: Gwyn opens up to Harper's Bazaar about their new living arrangement. "So our sex life is over," she jokes. "I thought it was really interesting how resonant that was for people. One of my best friends was like, ‘That is my dream. Don’t ever move in.’ I think it certainly helps with preserving mystery and also preserving the idea that this person has their own life. So this is something I’m trying to remain aware of now as we merge together."

March 1, 2020: The mum-of-two praises Brad as "a man of infinite kindness, integrity and love. Of true rationality and patience" on his 49th birthday.

April 13, 2020: "What were you and gaucho reading? My early mornings with these two," Gwyneth captions a shot of the director and their dog.

September 27, 2020: Brad's back with another cute birthday post. "This badass is 48 today. She makes pizza from scratch, is never late for cocktail hour, makes looking good annoyingly easy and never skips an opportunity to put an a--hole in his place. She makes friends feel like family and family feel like friends. Trust me, she’s the best. Happy, happy, happy birthday, Beauty. I love you."

March 2021: The Goop founder posts a sweet tribute to her husband on his 50th birthday. "Happy 50th birthday @bradfalchuk I just want to be with you, always, at least for the next 50," she writes.
