The cast of Desperate Housewives are planning a virtual reunion to raise money for those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The glamorous women of Wisteria lane will be back on our small screens – some eight years after the award-winning series came to an end – for a live episode of Stars in the House, which supports The Actors Fund's Covid-19 charity fundraiser.

Deadline reports that the show's stars Marcia Cross, Vanessa Williams, Brenda Strong, Dana Delaney and Eva Longoria will all be taking part.

Felicity Huffman, who played Lynette Scavo in the comedy drama, won't be taking part. Teri Hatcher, who led the series as Susan Mayer, and Nicolette Sheridan, who played Edie Britt, are also not joining the line-up.

Teri has previously said she'd love for the series to return, and that she would be "the first person" to come back for a reboot.

"I never wanted it to be over. I love those characters," she told Loose Women in 2018. "I don't think [the chances are] very good. Just because of the creators. It's not the women. I think the women would probably all do it."

The casts of the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Barry, including Bill Hader and Henry Winkler, will also be taking part in this week's episodes too.

The Desperate Housewives stars will be available to watch on Sunday, 12 April at midnight GMT on the Stars in the House website and on YouTube.
