In 2010, Jesse James was accused of cheating on then-wife Sandra Bullock. In a statement at the time, he said: "There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. "It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way." The following year, he spoke to Men's Journal and added: “I never shied away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men."

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were once one of the most desireable couples in Hollywood - until their marriage was rocked by allegations he had cheated on her with his 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie the year before they divorced. The 'Fight Club' star would later apologise to Jennifer. He said in an interview with Parade: "I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic." Brad and Angelina's relationship blossomed and they went on to become known as 'Brangelina'. They tied the knot in 2014. The pair became parents to six children - Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - but went their separate ways in 2016. Their divorce wasn't finalised until 2019.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been together for more than four decades, but their relationship hasn't always been easy. In 2016, it was revealed the Black Sabbath rock star had been having an affair with his hairstylist. In 2016, Sharon publicly forgave him and issued a statement which read: "It’s going take a long time to trust, but we’ve been together 36 years, 34 of marriage… I just can’t think of my life without him." Basketball star Lamar Odom is another celebrity who has been open about one of their biggest regrets. In his ‘Darkness to Light’ memoir, he revealed that he made a mistake he wishes he could erase from his life: cheating on Khloe Kardashian. During an interview with Extra, Odom said: “The chapters about my infidelity, that was the hardest part. I wish I would have treated her the right way."

Hugh Grant was arrested in Los Angeles, California, after being found in a vehicle along with a professional sex worker. At the time, Grant was dating actress Liz Hurley, and he apologised at the time for hurting "people I love". Following the incident, he released a statement saying: “I have hurt people I love and embarrassed people I work with. For both things I am more sorry than I can ever possibly say."

Jay-Z admitted to cheating on his wife Beyonce. An elevator argument with the 'Love On Top' hitmaker's sister Solange Knowles in 2013 was rumoured to have been sparked by him allegedly being unfaithful. And in 2017, the rap icon confessed to his infidelity. In an interview with The New York Times Style magazine, he said: "The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone's face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself. "You have to survive. "So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions. "So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can't connect. In my case, like, it's deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity." Beyonce's 2016 LP 'Lemonade' even centered around infidelity, with the superstar singing about "Becky with good hair". She sang: "He only want me when I'm not there/He better call Becky with the good hair."

‘Twilight’ stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were THE dream couple after they met on the set of the blockbuster franchise. However, their relationship ended after it was revealed Kristen kissed 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time. In a statement at the time, she said: "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob."

Jude Law and Sienna Miller's relationship ended in November 2006, almost a year and a half after it was revealed the ‘Holiday’ actor had cheated on his wife with their kids’ nanny. In a statement, he said: "Following the reports in today's papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I've hurt Sienna and the people most close to us. "I want to publicly apologise to Sienna and our respective families for the pain that I have caused." While the pair did try to save their relationship, they ended up breaking up. In a 2009 interview with Vogue, Sienna recalled the tough moment and said: “It's a private moment when you get your heart broken for the first time."

A decade ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger's marriage to Maria Shriver - with whom he has children Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher - broke down after he admitted to fathering a son with their maid Mildred Baena. Years later, he told Men's Journal: "You do think about it every so often. And I can beat myself up as much as I want - it's not gonna change the situation. So the key thing is, how do you move forward? How do you have a great relationship with your kids? "It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret."
