Ex-Love Islanders Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott have reportedly separated after spending three months apart during the coronavirus lockdown. Yep, not an ideal time to have started a new relationship.

After getting together during the first ever Winter series of Love Island earlier this year (which feels like FOREVER ago now), the pair continued dating once the show ended - but lockdown has only come and put a spanner in the works, hasn't it?

A source told The Sun Online, "It's no huge drama - they're just better off as friends. They had a good run but they have split for good."

They continued, "There’s been no cheating or drama they just drifted apart - he’s looking forward to lockdown being over and making the most of his new single status."

After nabbing third place in the Winter Love Island final, Demi and Luke only had five weeks together on the outside, before lockdown began and they were forced move 312 miles apart - with Demi in Portsmouth and Luke in the North East.

So, hey, maybe there's still hope for the future once life is back to normal?

Demi and Luke's fellow Love Island contestants Ched Uzor and Jess Gale have also been kept apart by the lockdown, while Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman have only gone and moved into their own home together. And if you're wondering what happened to the rest of the Love Island cast of old, we've got you covered.

Demi and Luke's representatives have been contacted for comment.
