Amazon Audible has announced an exciting new project, seeing the reunion of actors and comedians Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
The BAFTA and British Comedy Award winning duo are known for their outlandish takes on the world around them and have now teamed up for an Audible Original podcast entitled French and Saunders: Titting About.
The series will cover a host of topics, from passion and hobbies, through holiday anecdotes – Jennifer shares a (ahem) lovely story about dribbling on a fellow passenger whilst asleep on an aeroplane – frightening and awkward experiences at school, assessing their lives through the moral compass of 'The Seven Deadly Sins' and food trivia, with the final episode taking a look back at their careers.
French and Saunders began their long career together as undergraduate students at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, honing their skill on the comedy circuit before finally landing their own award-winning BBC sketch show French and Saunders which ran for six series.
They have also gained praise for their infamous roles in classic shows Vicar of Dibley and Absolutely Fabulous.
Speaking about their new podcast, French joked: "Titting about with Fatty (her nickname for Saunders, which she says is in fact intended to poke fun at herself) is the best fun I've had without my incontinence pants on. Which, on reflection, was a mistake. Some soft furnishings were damaged in the making of this series."
Saunders added: "I can't imagine anything I'd rather be doing than titting about with Dawn. We both have tits after all."
The podcast is the latest addition to Audible's comedy output, which also recently saw the release of Steve Coogan's From the Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast.
French & Saunders: Titting About will be available to download exclusively from Audible on October 6 2020.
