There are few women as refreshingly honest as Davina McCall - be that on Big Brother in the early 2000s, or discussing body confidence in the present day.
'I’m not all pert and tight like I was when I was 20. If I lean over…my skin sags down at the middle, the front,' the mum-of-three reveals to WH Editor-in-Chief Claire Sanderson on the latest episode of the Going for Goal podcast.
But it's how Davina has chosen to reframe such negative self-talk that we should all be inspired by - whether we are in our 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond.
The telly favourite notes: 'I feel like I am the best version that I can be for my age, and that gives me confidence.
'You can wear your body well if you’ve got confidence.”
Relatable as ever, Davina is also super open about the fact it's been a journey of self-acceptance to get to this point - and while she has become famed for exuding warmth to others on screen, she hasn't always been so lovely to herself.
Speaking on the show, she recalls: 'How attractive you are is entirely based on you feel about yourself, and if I could tell my 20-year-old self that - and really explain it - I think it would have changed my life.'
The star continues: 'I was very vulnerable and fragile, and the voice in my head was so loud and so negative, all the time.'
Decades on, she has finally learnt to love herself.
She adds: 'Now I wake up in the morning and I think I look like a supermodel! I walk around my bedroom naked saying "yeah check you out"!'
Yes, Davina. Anyone else want to bottle that confidence?
