David Beckham shares detailed look inside his new life as friends say 'he's changed'
David Beckham lives a life worlds away from his footballing heyday as he relishes time spent in the sprawling gardens of the £12million Cotswolds home he shares with wife, fashion designer Victoria and their children.
The 49 year old former Manchester United star recently took to Instagram as he proudly showed off his vegetable patch which is abundant with spring onions, plum trees and wild flowers that he planted himself. Dressed in a green flannel shirt and a baker boy cap, David proudly showed his 88.3million Instagram followers around the garden, which also contains potatoes, kale, red cabbage and berries.
First, he made sure to stop and say good morning to his hens and chickens which purred back at him as he said, “Did she just say ‘good morning’?

The father of four then declared that he was going to make crisps out of his potatoes because 'I’m a savoury person, not sweet’, before he called himself ‘Mr Titchmarsh’, in reference to English gardener and broadcaster, Alan Titchmarsh.
In the caption, David admitted that he could “hear my east end mates going ‘he has changed’” as he reflected that his “content used to be motorbikes and camping, now it’s kale, honey and flowers for the house”.
He also said that his wife, Victoria, 50, had told him to make the video shorter, but that he didn’t listen, as he apologised to her before tagging her and saying “you’re welcome for the flowers for the house”.
The former Spice Girl, 50, joked her husband is like a stranger as he’s now focused on gardening and looking after their animals, including the chickens. In response to David's video, she posted it and wrote: “Who is this man? Give me my husband back!”
David and Victoria - who has landed her own reality show - recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary as they delighted their fans by dressing up in the iconic purple outfits they wore to their nuptials back in 1999.
They are one of showbiz's strongest couples, having first met at a Manchester United football game in 1997, and they're the proud parents of four children; Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13.
The Beckham clan are ever-supportive of each other, and often post gushing tributes on Instagram to one another. Most recently, it was David and Victoria's second-eldest son, Romeo, who was on the receiving end of all of the love, as he celebrated his 22nd birthday.
Proud dad David shared a number of snaps from throughout Romeo's childhood as he wrote: "Happy 22nd Birthday to my beautiful boy... We are so proud of the man you have turned into, kind passionate and hard working... Have the most amazing day because you deserve it... Love you mate so much."
