Danny Jones lied to I'm A Celeb producers before going on the show, admits his famous wife
Danny Jones’ wife has claimed the McFly star lied to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here producers about his fears ahead of going into the jungle. Georgia Jones, 38, who married Danny, also 38, in 2014 at a private ceremony held in Georgia’s home town of Old Malton, North Yorkshire, revealed that Danny has seemingly purposefully bluffed ITV producers over his 'fear' of snakes.
Speaking with Hannah Cooper on the Never Have I Ever podcast, Georgia claimed that Danny told producer he was afraid of snakes before entering the jungle, something she calls ‘bulls***.’ Georgia said: “The only problem with Danny is he's not great when he's hungry or tired, and he's going to be hungry and tired."
“And he's lied, and he said he's scared of snakes. Bulls***. World exclusive: bulls***. So, everyone vote for the tasks that don't involve snakes, please!” As Georgia and Hannah, 35, who is married to I'm A Celeb: Unpacked presenter Joel Dommett, 39, dissected Danny’s fibbing, the pair concluded that the singer has cleverly tried to outfox producers, double bluffing them and viewers into believing he’s afraid of something he’s not.

“He’s not scared of snakes, but he said he is – that’s a double bluff,” Georgia said, before Hannah added: “So, he's now going to get tasks with snakes… I think they think Danny's a really genuine guy!” The mum of one also revealed she had a hard time picking out Danny’s luxury items for the show, and is certain she hasn’t chosen what Danny would have picked out himself – mouth tape!
Georgia, who shares six year old son Cooper with husband Danny, said: “Because if I tell you this, this man has never fussed so much over the fact that he can't tape his mouth in the jungle. He tapes his mouth at night. He tapes his mouth. It’s meant to have many, many health benefits… It’s literally like a piece of gaffer tape. It's like a massive plaster of your lips.”
In 2007, two years before she met Danny, Georgia was named Miss England and went on to represent the country in that year's Miss World. Georgia also competed in Miss World Talent, which she finished in the top 18. When Georgia was a child she became deaf in her right ear after contracting suspected meningitis, but during her pageant trials did not disclose her hearing loss.
However, when she was unable to hear her number being called at the final she finally revealed her diagnosis and raised awareness of the condition. She has previously spoken out about her pageant success and told the Yorkshire Post in 2013: "I have never regretted entering Miss England, in fact I think it was one of the best things I have ever done. Not only did I have an amazing time, but it really opened a lot of doors for me."
Georgia and Danny started dating in 2009 and four years later he popped the question during a getaway in Cyprus. Opening up about the proposal, Danny previously told Digital Spy: "I just thought, 'What am I waiting for?' I felt like I wanted to do it and within five days I booked a holiday and did it. I didn’t think about anything at all." He added: "I didn’t want to make too much of it so I just went on a holiday and had dinner on a beach. I didn’t give too much away… it was like an MI5 mission getting a ring out there."
