Danniella Westbrook celebrates at engagement party admitting 'true love really does exist'
Danniella Westbrook has announced her son, Kai, is engaged and declares she “couldn’t be prouder”.
The ex-EastEnders star Danniella celebrated her son’s engagement on Sunday (25 August). In a series of photos shared to his Instagram, Kai wrote: “I had a beautiful time with some beautiful people! had a great engagement party.”
Danniella commented: “Best day ever for me. Seeing you happy and seeing you and Sophie make it official. I couldn't be a prouder kid.”
She continued: “What a fantastic day and memories. Here's to both of you and a lifetime of making memories, happiness, and adventure. True love really does exist.”
Danniella posted snaps of her son Kai with his new fiancée Sophie as well as a picture of her engagement ring.
Danniella shares Kai, 27, with her former boyfriend Robert Fernandez. She also has a daughter Jodie, 23, with her second husband Kevin Jenkins.
Last August, Danniella publicly reached out to Jodie who had blocked her on social media. Along with a photo of her daughter as a toddler, the caption read: "With all my heart, i miss my daughter. Miss so many things we shared.
“But after the beautiful birthday, I arranged for her 21st last year. Within a month, I was once again with zero explanation cut out of her life.
"And it has broken my heart but I just hope she knows how proud I am to be her mother. And I love her always . X"
But just a few days later, Danniella appeared to be angry as she posted a meme that included a throwback snap of Marilyn Monroe waving from a window, with the words: "When someone blocks me & expects me to care. Bye C**t."
Daniella also added a 'bye bye' at the top of the Instagram story post.
Fans implored Jodie to reach out to her mum with comments on a post in which she turned 22-years-old.
One commented: "Reach out to your mum. She loves and misses you [love heart] life is too short."
Another said: "Reach out to your mother please, she has said happy birthday to you on her Instagram.."
A third said: "Same age as my baby girl. Please get in touch with your mum you only get one."
On her Instagram today (Monday 26 August), Danniella has teased that she will be opening up on a podcast with Lewis Nicholls.
Lewis posted a clip the new Life Stories episode along with the caption: “Danniella Westbrook life stories is out very soon so here is a trailer of what to expect. Absolutely loved this episode and Danniella was so open and honest and a lovely guest”.
