Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield has shared an amusing photo of a backstage blunder for his fans to have a good chuckle at.

The star got his stylist David O'Brien to take some pics of him on set in his suit to promote the latest episode of the show on his Instagram, but one photo was rather unfortunate.

"When glam shots go wrong!!" Phil wrote. "@DavidOBrien75 didn't realise his shadow made me look like I'd pee'd me troos!!"

This series of Dancing on Ice has been super dramatic so far, as three celebrities – Denise van Outen, Rufus Hound and Billie Faiers – have had to step down from the competition.

The first two celebrities were replaced by last-minute stand-ins, which naturally runs the risk of creating an imbalance in terms of how much practice everyone's had, but ITV confirmed that Billie won't be replaced by another famous face.

Viewers took issue with Sunday night's show when it came to how the judges marked Rufus' replacement Matt Richardson, who took to the ice for the first time and was playing catch-up.

Sunday night's show saw a third contestant voted out. We won't spoil who it is in this article, but you can find out the results by clicking right here.

Dancing on Ice airs Sunday nights on ITV.
