Dancing On Ice's team of professionals performing on the show in 2019
Former Gogglebox cast member Stephen Lustig-Webb has become the seventh star confirmed to have signed up for next year’s Dancing On Ice.
During Tuesday’s edition of Lorraine, Stephen revealed: “The last time I was on the ice I think I was 14, so almost 40 years ago. I have been back on the ice since just for a quick spin around, I didn’t fall over so that was a good thing!
“I’ve got a new appreciation for skating. I can see how truly difficult it is. From the comfort of my sofa I was probably a little too judgy, I didn’t realise how hard it is!”
Stephen had been part of Gogglebox since its inception in 2013, before announcing his departure earlier this year.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, Made In Chelsea cast member Miles Nazaire had also confirmed that he would be getting his skates on in 2024.
The reality star and social media personality shared the news on Instagram, and told ITV: “I’ve always loved to dance, but it’s usually on a dance floor on a Saturday night and Dancing On Ice looks so difficult.
“I keep thinking about how I’m going to need to have rhythm while balancing on a thin blade and that’s when I feel the nerves kick in, but this is such an unbelievable opportunity to get totally out of my comfort zone.”
Miles first joined Made In Chelsea during its 15th series in 2018. Since then, he has appeared on-and-off on the E4 reality show, but remains part of the current cast.
He’s also appeared on dating shows Ex On The Beach and Celebs Go Dating in the past.
Meanwhile, comedian Lou Sanders is also joining the show, as revealed on Tuesday afternoon.
She told Radio Five Live: “I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head. I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells.
“I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave.”
Although Dancing On Ice doesn’t actually return to our screens until January 2024, the line-up is announced months in advance due to the amount of training that goes into a series.
The celebrities confirmed for the latest run so far are former professional boxer Ricky Hatton, soap queen Claire Sweeney, ex-S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt and reality-star-turned-West-End-performer Amber Davies.
Former Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford was also revealed to be taking part on Monday, with more celebrities set to be announced in the coming days.
