The Channel 5 news presenter's face was left battered and bruised after he was hit by a vehicle while he was cycling on Monday (20 February), and he has said he feels thankful to be alive.
Walker, who credits his helmet with saving his life, had been eating soup through a straw but has told fans he is making progress.
"Two things happened today…
"1. I had my first solid food since Monday.
"2. I ordered a new cycling helmet."
The father-of-three thanked his followers for all the well wishes.
"The swelling is going down but the body is still aching," he added.
The TV star, 45, also shared a hilarious get well soon video from Richard Curtis, in which the screenwriter joked that there were easier ways to get a Red Nose for Comic Relief.
The clip showed Curtis, one of the founders of the charity, telling Walker: "I’m so sorry about the state of your face.
"I just wanted to day there is an easier way to get a Red Nose.
"I really admire your dedication but if you just go on Amazon there is a beautiful red nose designed by Sir Jony Ive, makes money for Comic Relief and much less painful.
"I hope you recover soon and order a Red Nose with panache."
Walker told fans about his accident earlier this week, sharing photographs of his facial injuries as he said he was "thankful to still be here".
