Cyclist rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crash with lorry

A CYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a lorry.

The collision happened on Halifax Road, where it meets Manywells Brow, in Denholme, at about 3pm.

West Yorkshire Police officers came across the crash, which involved a cyclist and lorry.

The cyclist, a man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, according to a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police.

They added that these injuries are not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) said it sent a rapid response vehicle and one person was taken to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).

Halifax Road was closed by officers, as a result of the crash.
