I know I’m not the only one thinking that this year is going by FAST. Seriously, I could’ve sworn it was just May and suddenly, we’re on the brink of September.
I’m here for the arrival of autumn, though. I’ve always seen myself as more of a #HotGirlAutumn kinda person and I love how cosy everything feels at this time of the year. I also love that, in beauty world, the arrival of autumn means the arrival of beauty advent calendars.
OK, OK: I know it's early but if this year is anything to go by, Christmas will be here in a flash. Plus, the biggest and best beauty advent calendars usually go on sale around September and October, meaning you have to get in there fast if you want to snap one up.
The one I have my eye on every year? Cult Beauty’s epic advent calendar.
An instant sell-out for the last two years it’s been running, this year’s version is definitely the best one yet.
Each day, you can expect to discover some hall of fame icons, under-the-radar skincare heroes and some sustainable options, too.
In fact, despite having 25 doors, this calendar is actually filled with 38 – yes, 38 – beauty products (c’mon, how impressive is that?!) across Cult Beauty’s hair, makeup and skincare offering from brand favourites like Augustinus Bader, Victoria Beckham Beauty, Vieve and Youth To The People.
Upon closer inspection of the pictures, we can also spot Summer Fridays, Supergoop!, Fresh, Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, The Inkey List, Drunk Elephant, Live Tinted and so much more. Plus, in the 25th drawer, there will be a full-sized exclusive release. All very mysterious and bloody exciting.
While the £215 price tag is pretty hefty on the bank balance, this year’s advent calendar contents rack up to an insane worth of over £960. So it’s actually pretty good value.
The exact launch date is yet to be announced but Cult Beauty has confirmed it's bringing back its covetable Golden Ticket. There’s just one advent calendar that holds a Golden Ticket and the lucky winner will win a Cult Beauty voucher worth £1,000. Imagine the amount of mascaras and candles you could stock up on with that.
As if that wasn’t enough, Cult Beauty is supporting two initiatives this year. It will donate £40,000 from the sales of the advent calendar to Beauty Backed Trust, to help beauty professionals whose careers were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also, Cult Beauty is working with ClimatePartner to plant one tree for every advent calendar sold.
So, an advent calendar packed full of hundreds of the best beauty products that also means helping people and the planet? Seems like a no-brainer to us.
If you’re keen to get your hands on one, you can sign up to the waiting list at cultbeauty.co.uk – but be warned: when it drops, you’ll have to move faster than the Love Island boys in Casa Amor.
