Chopping up produce may seem like an easy task, but it can actually get even easier. Case in point: This Cuisinart Stainless Steel Chopper cuts up fruit, veggies, cheese, nuts and more in a matter of seconds. And right now, it’s 40% off on Amazon.

You can use this device to make a salsa, prepare ingredients for a soup, cut up cheese for a charcuterie board or chop onions without crying your eyes out. But the Cuisinart chopper doesn’t only cut down chopping time. It also reduces the risk of cutting yourself.

To use, simply place the food you’d like to cut under the blade and quickly (but somewhat forcefully) press the top button to send the blade through the food. Do this until the food is chopped up into the size you desire — or until you’ve gotten out your pent-up anger. You can also move the chopper around your cutting board over all of the food you’d like to chop, rather than chopping then switching out whatever is underneath.

It might sound intense, but it’s actually very easy to use. However, I personally recommend cutting up your produce at least a little bit before using. Say you want to dice an apple; you should slice the apple into halves or fourths, then chop away.

Plus, if you don’t feel like cleaning your cutting board, you can attach the base (which comes with it) and chop. This is great for chopping small ingredients, like garlic cloves or fresh herbs.

And another great feature: It’s easy to clean. You can stick it in the dishwasher!

The Cuisinart Stainless Steel Chopper has over 6,000 five-star reviews on Amazon from customers who’ve called it a “great chopper” and “easy to use.”

“Still chops smoothly after almost a year of use. Comes apart easily and fits nicely in the dishwasher. Makes cooking anything that needs to be minced much less painful. I use it for garlic, tomatoes, onions and for making breadcrumbs,” wrote one Amazon reviewer.

Comparing it to a similar Pampered Chef device, one Amazon reviewer said: “This product works great! We had a Pampered Chef for years and it finally bit the dust. This is very sturdy and easy to use. It cleans up super fast!”

And if all else fails, one Amazon customer assured shoppers that the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Chopper works in more ways than one: “You’re going to be in a great mood all day. You’re going be slapping your troubles away with this.”
