The Crown season 5 shares first look at Princess Diana

The Crown season 5 has debuted its first images of Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Dominic West as Prince Charles.

Known most recently for her supporting role as Kat in Christopher Nolan's time-manipulating spy thriller Tenet, Debicki's iteration of 'the people's princess' can be seen stretched out on a sofa in deep thought.

Previously addressing her casting in the Netflix hit, the Australian actress said: 'It's a dream role. She is such a remarkable human being and she really does still live in the hearts of so many people.

'I'm overwhelmed, I'm terrified and I'm excited. I can't wait to start.'

Emma Corrin, who portrayed the late Princess Diana in season 4, shared some advice for her successor earlier this year. 'Make it your own,' she said. 'Put blinkers on for the rest of the world and for the pressure. Grab onto things that resonate with you, that you relate to, or that you empathise with. And always trust the script. It won't let you down.'

The Crown seasons 1 to 4 are available to watch on Netflix.
