Cressida Bonas has revealed her struggle with perfectionism and the negative effects of fear.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the actress said, "The fear of failing, the fear of rejection, the fear of not getting it right, the fear of not being perfect… I think that has limited me in certain situations in my life."

Bonas is now forging an acting career, both on stage and screen. "I think I have grown confident and fortunately I have learnt not to sweat the small stuff too much," the 31-year-old continued. "And I just think it has definitely given me a stronger sense of purpose and a stronger sense of what I want or don’t want."

Most recently, the actress won acclaim for her role in ITV’s true crime drama, White House Farm. She also leads conversations with stars and experts on her podcast, Fear Itself. She is set to wed Harry Wentworth Stanley, who proposed last year, although their nuptials have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this year, Bonas said she refuses to publicly discuss the controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan after the couple stepped away from their roles as senior royals. Her decision to keep quiet on the issue comes "out of respect" for her former boyfriend.

"I wouldn’t take a position on that because it would be a headline. I want to talk about my work," Bonas told ES Magazine. "And also out of respect. What’s the expression? How would I feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was an ex talking about me? It feels like a long time ago, so when it comes up it feels strange because I’m in a very different place now."

Bonas dated Prince Harry for around three years after the pair met in 2012. Although the couple split, there was clearly no animosity between them with Bonas attending Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018.
