The 46-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene with an initial death declaration of ‘unexplained’ now referred to as ‘not suspicious’ by Scotland Yard.

A hotel worker told the Daily Mail: ‘The people who found her said they found her in the toilet.’

‘I think it was the cleaners who had gone in there because there was no activity around the hallway or from the room. They didn’t say how they found her, this has been kept private.’

Another staff member said: ‘They found her in the bathroom. But the staff that found her have not said anything more, so we don’t know if it’s suicide or what.’

Since the indie singer’s death was made public, online sales for her solo and band’s music exploded.

According to TMZ, album sales increased by over 900,000%, after various releases practically took over the Amazon and iTunes charts.

The site also reports that Dolores was said to have been ‘dreadfully depressed,’ according to a close source, but the unexpected cause of her death is still unknown.

Investigators still have’t established how Dolores died, after she arrived in London for a recording session with the band Bad Wolves.

Dan Waite revealed how she seemed positive during a voicemail he received just prior to her death: ‘She was looking forward to seeing me in the studio and recording vocals.

‘She sounded full of life, was joking and excited to see me and my wife this week. The news of her passing is devastating.’

Former The Kinks guitarist Dave Davies said Dolores appeared ‘happy and well’ when he spoke to her before Christmas.

She’d previously opened up about her mental health to Metro, saying: ‘There are two ends of the spectrum — you can get extremely depressed and dark and lose interest in the things you love to do, then you can get super manic.’

‘I was at the hypomanic side of the spectrum on and off for a long period but generally you can only last at that end for around three months before you hit rock bottom and go down into depression.’
