Cradle of Filth have shared that an Ed Sheeran collaboration is underway, with frontman Dani Filth revealing that the pop singer has “done some of it”.
Speaking in a new interview with Knotfest Filth said that plans for their collaborative single are very much in motion.
“We still have yet to finish our song with Ed Sheeran,” Filth said. “He’s done some of it, but then he had a baby, and then he got obviously sidetracked with that and doing whatever Ed does, which is play massive shows around the globe. He’s not at our beck and call. But he is gonna finish it, he assures me. Actually, I spoke to him quite recently.”
“[It will be released] when it’s finished,” he added. “We don’t know when it’s coming out.”
Sheeran and Bring Me opened this year’s BRIT Awards with the unlikely cover of Sheeran‘s single from his album ‘=’.
“The song is EDM, and [Bring Me The Horizon] took it and made it a whole new thing. I was just like, ‘You know what, these guitars are going to be great’,” Sheeran said of the process.
In a tweet from the band’s official account, they directed fans to a pre-save link and attached a video of frontman Oli Sykes on a FaceTime call with Sheeran.

“That show was nuts,” Sheeran said of their BRITs moment, to which Sykes replied: “I’ve never had so much adrenaline pumping through me.”
“There are so many people asking for like a studio version,” Sykes added, to which Sheeran replied: “We have to get one out.”
“We’ll get Jordan and the lads on it and I’ll get the vocals in,” Sheeran added. “Make sure it goes proper death growl at the end!”
Bring Me also brought Sheeran out as their special guest at last week’s Reading Festival, where they performed the song live.
