Could this be the best wellness festival of 2022? Here's everything you need to know

Summer = festivals, and they're in full swing RN. If you've stepped foot anywhere near a festival site this year, then you've probably had your fair share of boozy days, food truck grub, and poor quality shut-eye – if you managed any at all between campsite parties and a constantly deflating airbed (been there) – that's left your mind and body in need of a little TLC.

Well, Hydrow, the brand behind the at-home rowing machine that WH's own Editor-in-Chief took for a spin (and loved) is rounding off festival season with an event of their own that promises to recharge you for the autumn, in collaboration with

Live Well London. The 1-day experience-led festival, named the Whole Health Festival, will feature fitness classes and top-notch intel from expert panelists, and we're so excited. Read on for the deets.

What's on?

First up: fitness classes. Whether you're after an endorphin hit or a zen yoga session, Hydrow and Live Well have got you covered.

Charlotte Holmes, a movement coach and wellness consultant, will be hosting energising vinyasa yoga sessions throughout the day designed to combat stress and build strength and mobility through the hips. Not a yoga pro? No sweat. These sessions are designed with everybody in mind right the way through from beginners to seasoned yogis.

If you want to take the Hydrow rowing machine for a test run instead, then here's your chance. Hydrow is offering several different rowing classes from heart-pumping HIIT to low impact restorative rows to full-body workouts that target up to 86% of your major muscle groups. For the ultra competitive, you can even put celebs and professional athletes to the test in the 'race the pro' challenge to see if you can top them on the leaderboard.

Post row, show your tired muscles some love at the Power Plate Recovery Station. It sounds futuristic, and TBH, it kinda is. The power plates and portable massage products promise to:

  • Relax and rejuvenate tight and sore muscles

  • Reduce pain

  • Improve range of motion and flexibility

  • Promote blood flow and fascia release

  • Speed up exercise warm ups and recovery

Alongside exercise classes, there will be a wide range of immersive panels, fireside chats, and Q&As covering the power of sleep and exercise for recovery, how to stay active for life, and how to take care of your physical and emotional health to live well everyday.

Each talk will be led by industry experts, including Olympic athletes, sharing evidence-based, educational content as well as personal stories about their journeys to whole health. Some of said experts include none other than Dr Alex George, and host of the High Performance Podcast Jake Humphrey. Have a gander at the event timetable for the complete round-up.

Finish up with a waltz around the on-site shopping village that's chock full of the best wellness brands, including FaceGym and probiotic supplement brand Symprove, that are offering exclusive demos, masterclasses, and free samples to visitors.

When, where, and how much?

The event is taking place on September 10th 2022 at Old Billingsgate, 16 Lower Thames Street, London, and is running from 9:30am - 5pm. Fancy nabbing yourself a ticket? They're £30 and on sale at Eventbrite. Snap them up quickly, though, because tix are limited and you won't want to miss this.
