The Costco Dip Fans Say Is 'Dangerously Good' Is Finally Back
Dip it, spread it, or eat it with a spoon—this one won't linger in the fridge.
Is there a dip season? We eat dips all year, but the span between football season and the holidays morphs into one long, creamy, yummy dip season. We’re all busy making Buffalo Chicken Dip and Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip for game-watching. For the holidays, we’re digging out the inside of bread rounds to hold the Best Spinach Dip or throwing together beautiful grazing boards.
Costco is known for being a great place to get pre-made dips, and right now, the holiday-est of holiday dips is back in stock at the warehouse club, and fans are running to snatch it up.
Costco’s Cranberry Jalapeño Dip Is Back for the Holidays
As much as pumpkin-flavored foods signal the beginning of fall, cranberries as an ingredient tell us that the holidays are just around the corner. Now Costco just brought back a cranberry dip for a limited time that screams, “It’s the holidays!”
Instagram’s Costcodeals alerted its followers last week: “Back by popular demand, this Stonemill Kitchens creamy cranberry jalapeño premium dip is a must-have at all your holiday occasions! A guaranteed hit!! Only available for a limited time!”
Is it that good? The commenters unanimously say it is. There wasn’t a negative comment in the bunch.
“This is one of the best dips at Costco…dangerously good!” commented one follower. “Be prepared to eat the whole tub…get yourself a sleeve of Ritz crackers and poof, magic,” said another. The dip even wins over skeptics: “We all thought it'd be gross,” said one commenter who eventually decided it was the "bomb."
How to Serve Costco’s Cranberry Jalapeño Dip
This “bomb” also seems like a good deal—it’s almost 2 pounds of cream cheese-based cranberry jalapeño dip for $8.99. It can be served hot or cold, and it works with chips, veggies, crackers, and as a sandwich spread.
“This is great for dipping with ANYTHING, on wraps, on turkey sandwiches, chips etc!! This velvety smooth blend of cream cheese, cranberries and jalapenos for extraordinary flavor dip is a must add to your cart on your next Costco trip,” Costcodeals advised.
The dip is yet to be available at all Costco locations. At the moment, it’s only available in the Bay Area, San Diego, AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, OK, OR, TX, UT, and WA (according to the Instagram post), but that doesn’t mean it won’t roll out to other regions soon.
If the idea of creamy cranberry jalapeño dip sounds good, but you can’t get your hands on Costco’s version, you might want to try making our Baked Cranberry Jalapeño Dip or this Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip that includes jalapeños.
