Corrie's Dee-Dee Bailey makes selfless move in Paul storyline

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Dee-Dee Bailey will support a friend in need in new scenes.

The solicitor played by Channique Sterling-Brown is set to lend a helping hand to her flatmate Paul Foreman while he's forced to stay off work. The builder is currently awaiting a diagnosis and treatment for his hand problems following his recent accident.

Portrayed by actor Peter Ash, Gemma's twin brother was involved in a crash with Carla Connor, who was under the influence after villain Stephen Reed spiked her tea with LSD.

However, it seems that the damage to his hand may not be connected to the accident as his GP referred him to a neurologist for further tests.

At Daisy and Daniel's wedding, Paul's boyfriend Billy notices he's concerned as he picks up a glass of champagne with his left hand.

Understandably, Paul is worried about how his condition could affect his work and admits to having spent every penny of his recent loan, having no idea how he's going to pay it off.

That's when Dee-Dee sweeps in to save the day, offering Paul some filing work at the law firm.

Adam Barlow isn't thrilled at Dee-Dee's move, but she insists on keeping Paul and even offers to pay his salary out of her own pocket.
