Coronation Street's Daniel faces more upsetting news and 9 more soap spoilers

Struggling to keep track of the constant stream of soap spoilers? Fear not, as every Monday Digital Spy picks out the biggest and best storylines hitting your screens in the week ahead.

1. Coronation Street: Daniel reaches breaking point

(Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV)

After laying his beloved Sinead to rest, Daniel is devastated to discover his flat has been trashed, and the laptop containing the videos his late wife made for him and Bertie has gone. Desperate to track down his precious possession, Daniel heads off with Craig to scour the local pawn shops.

Spotting a computer looking suspiciously like his behind a glass cabinet, raging Daniel accuses the shopkeeper of handling stolen goods, before seizing a golf club and smashing the cabinet to smithereens.

The police arrive on the scene and promptly arrest the grieving widower, while Craig and Peter try to explain things to the shop owner, hoping he'll find it in his heart to drop the charges against Daniel.

Later in the week, Daniel breaks down when clearing some of Sinead's things out of the flat and has to be comforted by Beth.

2. Emmerdale: Liam attacks Jacob

(Thursday at 7pm on ITV)

Alarm bells are ringing for David and Leyla when they learn Maya is being released from prison. Worried she might try to contact Jacob, the pair break the news to him and are surprised by his calm reaction. But it seems Jacob is hiding his true feelings when Leanna tries to offer support and he snaps at her.

Later, the teens end up in bed together, but afterwards Leanna is crushed when Jacob gives her the cold shoulder. Returning home, Leanna confides in Bernice that she had sex with Jacob, begging her not to tell her dad. But the beautician is forced to come clean when Leanna is sick in front of Liam after taking the morning after pill.

Unable to control his temper, livid Liam accuses Jacob of taking advantage of his daughter and punches him. As the locals reel in shock, the hot-headed doc finds himself under arrest for assault.

3. EastEnders: Ben faces a difficult decision

(Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Ben's alarmed to realise Callum wasn't joking about becoming a policeman, and admits they might not have a future if his boyfriend joins the force. Later, Ben threatens Martin's family's safety unless he carries out another job for him, but Kathy overhears and warns her wayward son about his behaviour.

When Ben's temper flares once more, Bobby shares his concerns with Callum, and encourages him to pursue his choice of career. After thinking things through, Callum stuns Ben with a proposition, which coincides with his conscience kicking in over how he has been treating Martin. But is Ben really ready to clean up his act?

4. Hollyoaks: Darren and Nancy are busted

(Monday at 7pm on E4 and Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

After unintentionally revealing all about their tunnel hook up on camera, Darren's thrown into panic when he receives a message from Charlie saying 'I know you slept with Nancy'. Rushing over to the Osbornes', Darren convinces Nancy's nephew to keep schtum about their indiscretion.

Breathing a sigh of relief that his secret is safe – for now – Darren's day takes another bad turn when he overhears Luke joking about changing DJ's name. Darren overreacts and punches Luke, knocking him out cold. Mandy's unimpressed by her boyfriend's violent outburst, and orders Darren to take Luke to the hospital in a bid to restore peace between them.

5. Neighbours: Ned fights his demons

(Friday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Scarred Ned has found a dangerous way to channel his anger over being attacked by Scarlett, secretly joining a fight club. Finn's worried when he spots a shifty exchange between Ned and Kane at the gym, and his inexplicable injuries don't go unnoticed by Bea and Elly either.

Wrongly believing he has returned to his former gang life, Bea confronts Ned, who furiously shuts her down before heading out for more fisticuffs.

The following day, Yashvi finds herself on the receiving end of her ex's frustration when Ned flips out at her for standing too close to him. Aaron decides to get to the bottom of what has been going on, but when he follows Ned to a secret location, he's horrified to see him engaging in his hazardous new hobby.

6. Emmerdale: Devastation for Lydia

Mandy pays Lydia's long-lost sister Beth a visit and gets confirmation that Agatha is very much alive. After asking Mandy to take her back to the village, Agatha arrives at the Dingles', begging Lydia to hear her out. As mother and daughter talk, Lydia's world comes crashing down when Agatha reveals her dad died of Huntington's disease, meaning she could carry the gene too.

Sharing the heartbreaking news with Samson, Mandy and Vinny, Lydia is faced with the difficult decision whether to take a Huntington's test.

7. EastEnders: Max pops the question

Max is red-faced when a punter at E20 mistakes him for Ruby's father. After getting ribbed by Jack about his age gap relationship, Max decides the best way to prove to Ruby he's serious about them is by asking her to become the next Mrs Branning.

Putting his romantic plan into action, Max pulls in a favour from Bobby. But when Ian discovers Max is intending to pop the question, he mischievously invites half of Walford to the restaurant to witness the proposal. By the time Max realises what Ian is up to, it's too late for him to back out, and he's forced to publicly ask Ruby to be his wife. Will she say yes?

8. Coronation Street: Paul confides in his family

(Friday at 7.30pm on ITV)

Paul is taken aback when Billy reveals he has offered Bernie a cleaning job because he loves him. Following an emotional chat with David, Paul decides to give things a proper go with the vicar.

When word of the burglary at Daniel's spreads, Billy reveals someone stole his diary with details of Sinead's funeral the same day Bernie started working for him. Later, Paul and Gemma are shocked to find a bag of stolen loot stashed under the stairs at Number 5. Assuming Bernie is the thief, cross Gem throws her out, but it soon dawns on her and Paul that Kel could be responsible.

Paul and Bernie break into Kel's flat where they discover Daniel's laptop, as well as photos of a young Paul and other children. As the penny finally drops for Gemma, brave Paul reveals the harrowing truth about Kel's sexual abuse to her and Bernie.

9. Hollyoaks: Cindy and Luke get serious?

(Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Knowing there's unfinished business between Luke and Cindy, Darren urges him to take a chance on her and see where it could go. Meanwhile, Cind confides in Mandy that she still has feelings for Mr Morgan and vows to do something about it. But just as she's about to lay her heart bare, she's interrupted by a phone call from the council wanting to discuss the crane disaster.

Later, Cindy and Luke enjoy sparring with one another, and their light-hearted banter turns hot and heavy as they lock lips. Cindy's excited when Luke admits he wants to be more than just friends with benefits, but it's not long before she fears he's having second thoughts about making it official.

10. Home and Away: Tori goes into labour

(Friday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

Robbo's search for the man who murdered his family is finally over when Victor confesses to being the killer. As the two foes face off during a tense showdown, Victor tries to goad Robbo into shooting him. Robbo considers pulling the trigger and finishing off his enemy.

Over at the safe house, chaos ensues when Tori's waters suddenly break. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, it's Jasmine's job to try and keep Tori calm as her contractions intensify. As Scott leaves the room to try and reach Robbo, a doctor arrives at the house and tells Tori it's almost time to push. But with Robbo's whereabouts still unknown, Tori panics she can't give birth to their baby without him by her side.
