‘Coronation Street’ tonight: Faye confesses ahead of Emma’s imminent exit
There’s more drama for Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) on Coronation Street tonight ahead of her exit from the soap.
In the latest Corrie, which airs tonight at 8pm, the bubbly barmaid is still heartbroken following her abrupt split with Jon Spear (Jordan Ford Silver).
Of course, this is all down to the awful secret Emma has been keeping: she and friend Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) were responsible for the death of Jon’s grandfather Ted (Duggie Brown) in a car accident.

After taking a seemingly unscathed Ted home, the pair were horrified when they later found he had passed away. But instead of reporting the car accident, they kept quiet, and Faye’s police officer boyfriend Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) helped cover their tracks.
Emma later attended Ted’s funeral, where she met Jon. In recent weeks they struck up a romance, which would have been sweet if not for Emma’s deceit.

Jon then announced he was moving to Australia, and Emma discovered that she and Jon used to play on the same beach as children.
He asked Emma to join him, but soon after, Jon recognised Craig from his granddad’s flat and they fed him an elaborate tall tale to throw him off the scent.

Faye and Craig were furious with Emma, and pressured her to break things off with Jon. Emma took on board her flatmates’ worries and lied to Jon that she didn’t love him in order to push him away.
But we know this isn’t the last we’ll see of Jon, as tonight’s episode will see Faye blurt out the truth when he turns up to see Emma.
The situation unravels just as Craig heads back to his job in the police force, after quitting over his part in Faye and Emma’s deadly deed.
Amid the drama of Faye’s confession, she suspects she is losing her baby. When she and Craig go to the hospital for a scan, they are in for a shock — but what has happened?
And how will Jon react to Faye’s bombshell? Will Emma be able to explain, or will Jon head straight to the police before she gets the chance?

No matter the outcome of this storyline, actor Alexandra Mardell is due to depart in Friday’s episode. So will Emma be leaving in handcuffs or going on the run? Or is there a third, happier option to match the Street’s resident ray of sunshine?
