Coronation Street's Lisa George, who fans will know as Beth Tinker, has reportedly wrapped up her final scenes on the ITV soap.

The actress sparked rumours of her departure after hosting a night out with some of her co-stars from the cobbles, leading many to believe she had finished filming.

Last year, The Sun exclusively revealed that Lisa had decided to leave the soap, with her exit set for this summer in a dramatic storyline.

Despite Lisa claiming she had signed a new contract, and with a noticeable absence from the ITV soap since last year, The Sun can now confirm that she has indeed finished filming. Sources have confirmed that the actress has bid farewell to the cobbles.

Lisa, who has portrayed Beth on the ITV soap since 2011, was joined by her on-screen husband Andy Whyment and her on-screen son Colson Smith at Manchester's Media City for the celebration.

Corrie legend Sally Dynevor also attended the bash, fuelling further speculation about Lisa's departure as she posted a heartfelt tribute to her on Instagram.

Sharing a picture of them together, Sally wrote: "Love you @lisageorge." Sally also shared a photo of Andy and Colson together.

Other Street favourites including Georgia Taylor, Jane Danson and Alison King were also spotted heading to the party. Details of Lisa's exit as Beth are still being kept under wraps. However, a source previously hinted at what fans can expect from Beth's final moments on the cobbles.

They said: "Beth's a larger than life character who's never shied away from a clash. Her exit will be as dramatic as she is. Lisa has been on Corrie for a long time and she's had some great storylines. She's become a firm fan favourite with her comedy scenes but has had viewers sobbing in heartbreaking plots like Sinead's death. She loves Corrie and it's in her bones but she feels now is the right time to move on and take on new challenges."

Lisa recently shared about her health struggles, revealing she is at risk of losing her sight. She is half-blind in her right eye after she haemorrhaged behind her optic nerve.

The actress suffers from NAION - non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy - a condition that causes sudden vision loss in one eye. Only 11 per cent of people in the UK are affected by this condition, which can result in complete blindness for some.

She told The Sun in 2020: “I haemorrhaged behind my optic nerve four years ago and I'm half-blind in my right eye, they said it was like a stroke but also I got hit in the eye with a bit of rope. They think I'd had some mini-stroke but a specialist said it has to be the rope, I still don't know. I lost my peripheral."

Lisa's doctor informed her that her full sight would never return and that the damage was permanent. However, she's resolved not to let her disability bring her down and has "accepted" her situation.
