The exciting love triangle drama in Coronation Street between Toyah, Nick, and Leanne is keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. With Toyah Battersby (played by Georgia Taylor) finding solace in the arms of her sister's fiancé Nick (Ben Price), flames seem to be sparking amidst the chaos.

The turn of the tide came about as the duo struggled to pull Leanne away from the dark clutches of a dangerous cult, The Institute led by Rowan (Emrhys Cooper).

With the tumultuous issues causing Leanne's relationship with Nick to crumble, Monday night's show hell let loose when Leanne stormed out of their flat, leaving Toyah and Nick alone and comfort was found in unexpected places. As Nick and Toyah shared an intense moment, viewers were left guessing if Nick and Leanne (Jane Dawson) can mend things or if Toyah and Nick have budding chemistry that they can't ignore.

Georgia Taylor, 44, who plays Toyah expressed: "It's really confusing for Toyah. Nick is to all intents and purposes her brother-in-law and they haven't always got on, so it's not like she's been harbouring some secret attraction."

This unexpected twist has come as a surprise for her and she remarked: "So this has hit her out of the blue they've both been there for each other these last few weeks when life has been really tough and those feelings are starting to get a little bit blurred."

While Toyah treasures her bond with her sister, guilt lurks behind every supportive moment she shares with Nick, especially when Leanne further pushes her away. She finds herself conflicted, voicing: "It's difficult when you're angry at someone, but you also feel guilty for something you've done to them. It's very conflicting for Toyah."

Recent episodes have seen Toyah Battersby arrested for murder after her stillborn baby was discovered in the park, following confrontations with the enigmatic Rowan. Leanne Battersby caused a stir when she confessed to Toyah that she had informed Rowan about the tragic loss of her baby.

Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, expressed her character's feelings: "Toyah feels massively betrayed, because at first Leanne denies that she told Rowan, then even when it does come out and she knows she's lied, Leanne is still on the backfoot and trying to deny it."

Toyah disappeared from the cobbles in 2003 and made a surprise return to the show in 2016, even though she had not been in touch with her family since she left. She went on to marry Imran and later lost him in a car crash

She added, "Leanne won't accept that Rowan would do anything like that because she just thinks he's this perfect human."

The actress also noted, "It feels like the ultimate betrayal because when Toyah's at her most vulnerable, when she's grieving the loss of a child, she still feels like her sister's not there for her."

Meanwhile, Nick Tilsley has given Leanne a tough choice: it's either him or Rowan.

Despite initially being furious with Nick's ultimatum, Leanne later made a solemn promise that she would never be unfaithful to him.
