If you're anything like me, when it comes to contouring, you will have a fully fledged two(ish) step routine. First, a cool-toned contour in the hollows of the cheek and then, a warmer bronzer for that sun-kissed glow, which is applied on the high points of the face. And TBH, that hasn't changed in a solid five years. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit.
However, one social media user may have just changed the whole contour game with yet another revolutionary TikTok beauty hack. After all, genius beauty trends are the key to our hearts.
With over one million views, Steph Hui posted a video explaining and trying out a new contouring technique/placement for herself. After applying her cream contour in a backwards 'Y' shape, she says: "I'm going to blend with a brush so I can be a bit more precise". Continuing, Steph suggests to blends upwards, saying that she wants to "lift the face, always".

Once she's done, it's fair to say that Steph looks shocked by the results. She says: "I mean the difference... this side is so much more contoured."
If this hack wasn't enough, luckily for us she even shared the exact products used to achieve the sculpted look. The Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick, £21, Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush 110, £26, and Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder, £29 are her key components.
Although Steph's viral video is very recent, she was not the one to start the trend. In fact, going as far back as last year, TikTok MUA, Kali Ledger, first shared a video using the contouring technique with Fenty Beauty.
Kali shares that this technique is perfect for those of us who have a "round baby face", as it lengthens and chisels your bone structure all whilst carving out your chin and jaw. And with one user commenting "it's giving Bella Hadid", it didn't take long for others to jump on the hype and try the new contour placement out for themselves.
TikTok user MakeupByAlissiaC is also a fan of the method:
It's only a matter of time before we're all sporting the snatched chiselled look.
