Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will hope that his return to N17 is a happy one for him as he looks for only his fourth league win of the season.
The Blues have only beaten Luton, Fulham and Burnley but their best performances have come against teams like Liverpool and Arsenal.
There is however good news with Chelsea having a great record against the Lilywhites- they have won four games since Tottenham moved to this new stadium, no team has won more here and Pochettino will hope his side finally dominate games and win them.
Hasn’t played badly but there is always this feeling that he has a mistake in him.
There is so much rivalry at stake tonight from Pochettino’s return to a place he called home all the way to both teams needing three points for different reasons.
Spurs remain the only unbeaten side in the league after Arsenal lost to Newcastle in controversial circumstances so there is added pressure to keep that run going as much as possible.
Chelsea know that they will get their season back on track if they can get all three points that will remind all that when their project finally kicks off it will be one of the best teams.
So with all that in mind, this is the team Mauricio Pochettino has put out:
Starts after beating off competition from Colwill and Badiashile
Chelsea will play well if he plays well.
The captain returns to the team after what has been a really long battle with fitness
Add experience and a calm head to the team
Has been under pressure to get goals after a difficult start to life as a Chelsea player.
Has been the best player at Chelsea this season.
Special player who gets the attack going.
Chelsea’s most experienced forward and you get the feeling that he will be pivotal for the Blues to night.
Chelsea’s big money purchase has to get it right today.
