How to make a colourful pom-pom Easter egg card with the kids
A colourful handmade Easter card makes for a thoughtful gift, alongside that all-important chocolate egg – the kids will love getting crafty over the Easter school holidays with this fun DIY project.
Little hands needn't get left behind when it comes to seasonal crafting; we've got a whole collection of kid-friendly Easter themed crafts to help keep them busy over the spring bank holidays.
Our exclusive Easter card design is not only easy and quick to make, but also uses equipment you'll probably already have in your craft kit. Make sure to use a low temperature glue gun if you're crafting with kids, to make sure they're able to join in for the whole card making process.
Once your cards are drying, you can use any leftover scraps of paper to make smaller eggs so you can hang them on painted twigs for an Easter tree. Let the kids unleash their creativity on the cutout egg shapes (why not try some marble style painting) and then all you need to do is use a hole punch to make a hole to thread some ribbon through.
Follow our step-by-step instructions below to make your own handmade Easter card.

You will need
Glue gun (you can get low temperature glue guns that are safe for kids to use)
Scissors
Assorted Bright Coloured Paper A5 x 50 Sheets
Hawksbill Card + Craft A4 160 GSM White Card
Springboard A4 Glitter Card Sheets
Belle Vous 250gsm 60 Pack A4 Gold Cardstock
How to make
Cut out an egg shape from your card. To create a back support, cut a rectangle of card the same height as the egg shape and 3cm wide.
Stick the pompom trim to the back of the card around the edge with the glue gun and leave it to cool.
Glue on the paper flowers (or any other embellishments you have) to the front of the egg card.
Cut the back support into a curve at the top to match the curve of the egg. Make a fold in the support near the top and stick this section to the back of the card at the top curved edge.
