Clueless star Alicia Silverstone poses totally naked for vegan campaign shoot
Clueless star Alicia Silverstone just posed *totally* naked for a new campaign on Instagram, with the actress pointing out that her recent nude shoot is particularly rare.
The new pics come as part of Alicia's campaign with animal rights group PETA, as the actress is seen telling viewers that she 'never ever' gets naked for TV or film.
Over the years, PETA has become known for its nude celebrity photoshoots, largely revolving around the line, 'I'd rather go naked than wear animals';. Of course, while Alicia's naked shoot comes as part of the campaign, she's not the only celeb who's been posing nude on the 'gram this year, with the likes of Dua Lipa, the Kardashians and Nicole Scherzinger joining in for 2022.
Alicia's new shoot sees her posing totally naked in just a pair of cowboy boots, surrounded by cactus plants (as a nod to the campaign's promotion of cactus leather).
Appearing in a video alongside the shoot pics, Alicia told viewers, 'If it takes me getting naked for you to care about animals, then that is what I'm after.'
She continued, 'I never ever get naked in TV, in film. Nothing. Never. Nope. But I've done it for PETA, 'cos that's how much it matters to me.'
The actress then went on to discuss sustainability and animal cruelty in the leather industry, promoting vegan leather alternatives made from cactus, mushroom or apple instead.
Alicia has spoken out about her vegan journey on various occasions, previously calling herself '99.9% vegan' and 'a vegan warrior'.
