Cloud of Smoke From Colorado's Cameron Peak Fire Fills Sky

Smoke from the sprawling Cameron Peak Fire obscured the sky over Masonville in Colorado as high winds from a cold front in the area fanned the flames on October 14.

The fire had grown to 158,300 acres by October 14, to become the largest in state history, eclipsing the size of the Pine Gulch Fire from earlier this season. The fire was 56 percent contained.
