With a large number of us under pressure to stick to the whole ‘New Year, new me’, it’s proving hard to shake off the January blues. But it seems as though things might finally be starting to look up…

In nothing short of purrfect timing, a cat festival is set to return to London this year and we have never been more grateful.

Catfest 2019 will take place on June 29 at Beckenham Place Park in Lewisham and promises a whole day filled with all things feline.

Designed for the cat lovers out there, the annual festival will offer attendees the chance to sit in on inspiring talks from writers and animal experts with ‘feline superstar’ meet-and-greets also in the pipeline.

For those of you with the New Year’s resolution to keep up to date with the capital’s cultural goings on, there will also be feline films, live music and an art show taking place.

Shaping up to be a date to mark in your brand new 2019 diary, themed cocktails and vegan street food will also be up for grabs.

If there are any cat fanatics out there reading this who have sadly yet to own a pet, the event’s Meow Parlour adoption lounge hopes to help cat charities, Erham and Freshfields Animal Rescue, to rehome abandoned kittens.

Tickets for the event, which are £22.15 each, are now on sale via the website and proceeds will go towards the above charities.

But if you’re interested, then you need to act fast as early bird tickets have already sold out.
