The easy way to clean a dirty roasting tin
What could be better on a cold, wet day than settling down around the table with the family for a Sunday roast? It's a staple in many households in the UK, especially at this time of year. But cleaning a dirty roasting tin can require a lot of elbow grease that we don't necessarily want to put in with a full stomach!
Luckily, our experts have a technique that will put an end to all the usual scrubbing and leave your roasting tin spotless at the end.
How to clean a dirty roasting tin
Fill the tin with hot water and dissolve in either two tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda or one dishwasher tablet.
Place the tray on the hob and turn on to a low heat. Leave it to bubble for 15-20 minutes. Make sure you keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't boil over!
Once the time has elapsed, use oven gloves to move the roasting tin carefully into the sink.
Pour the bicarb/tablet mixture away and rinse the tin with washing up liquid and hot water as usual. All the grease and any burnt on bits should wipe right off.
