Is Claudia Winkleman the tonic for our January blues?
When BBC competition series The Traitors debuted last winter, not many would have predicted that it'd soon grow into a cult show. But since the first binge-worthy season aired, it's become a global hit with spin-off series emerging from both the U.S and Australia.
The Traitors follows 22 players who are divided into Faithfuls and Traitors, all vying for a slice of the £120,000 prize pot. To be within a chance of winning, Faithfuls must detect Traitors secretly hiding amongst their ranks and banish them.
Meanwhile, the cunning Traitors are working to "murder" the Faithfuls in order to steal the cash all for themselves.
The result? Thousands of viewers on the edge of their seats.
But as The Traitors returns to BBC One for its much-anticipated second series, the contestants (who make for gripping TV) are being upstaged by the comeback of the show's presenter Claudia Winkleman and her must-have wardrobe.
The boom in popularity for all things Claudia has been coined by fans as "The Claudia Factor."
Known for her jet-black fringe and thick eyeliner to match and having co-presented Strictly Come Dancing for nearly ten years, we've grown to love Claudia's bold glamour, but thanks to The Traitors, viewers have seen a new side of Claudia: quick-witted, hilarious and mischievous.
So, could she be the tonic we need to cure our January blues?
While January is often the time of year when we see stars soaking up a dose of winter sunshine from far-flung beaches, watching Claudia present The Traitors against a backdrop of dramatic, rugged Scottish landscapes is the comfort television we all need.
And if adoration for Claudia's outfits has been anything to go by, then she's certainly proving to be just the tonic. Claudia's Highlands-appropriate closet of thick knits, tartans and tweeds on The Traitors has grown into a success story of its own.
The proof is in the pudding: when Claudia donned red leather gloves in the launch episode, searches for red gloves on Google surged. As for her green cable-knit jumper adorned with smiley faces on the elbows? The fun knit from Kapital immediately sold out.
