Kaia Gerber's brother Presley Gerber has hit back at trolls who criticised his latest tattoo - a design on his right cheek which reads 'misunderstood'.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's son revealed the new ink on Instagram over the weekend, but after catching wind of some negative comments about the new tattoo, he decided to his confront his critics via Instagram Live.

"If I thought this was going to ruin my face or I didn’t want this, I wouldn’t have done it. I think that’s a pretty obvious thing," the 20-year-old began.

"It says misunderstood, because that’s how I felt my entire life... Look at these f**king haters out here. F**k you if you don’t like it."

The tattoo was done by New York based artist JonBoy, who has also inked the likes of Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner and Zayn Malik.

Presley is no stranger to tattoos and even has one with sister Kaia's name. The model's most recent visit to the tattoo parlour comes just weeks after he and Kaia visited another New York artist called Evan Kim.

While Presley got 'HAHA' written on his fingers, the model got a flower on her wrist and a pair of interlocking arms in the shape of a heart on her shoulder. Evan shared close-up shots of the tatts on Instagram, while thanking the brother and sister duo for their business: "Always welcome!!! Always happy!! Always best! Thanks @kaiagerber @presleygerber."
