Christopher John Rogers is teaming up with Target on a brand-new dress line.

Following the success of previous designer collaborations, executives at the U.S. retail giant have tapped designer Rogers, as well as Alexis Barbara Isaias of ALEXIS, and Orlagh McCloskey and Henrietta Rix of RIXO, to create ranges of affordable items that represent the "individual spirit and artistry" of their core brands for The Designer Dress Collection.

"For more than 20 years, Target has partnered with some of the biggest names in the industry and had the opportunity to introduce our guests to emerging designers who are shaping fashion and culture today," said Jill Sando, Target's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. "With this spring collection, we're celebrating three incredibly talented and diverse designers, all while creating our most size-inclusive collection of original, quality dresses that we know our guests will love."

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award winner Rogers is one of the fashion industry's most buzzed-about new names, having quickly built up a following for his striking use of colour and voluminous silhouettes.

While Isaias is known for her effortless pieces inspired by her travels, and McCloskey and Rix have once again served up a line of dresses featuring flattering silhouettes and vintage-inspired prints.

Comprised of more than 70 dresses, the concept marks the second time Target has offered up an entire collection centred on one wardrobe staple.

Highlights include a bright red dress with graphic floral print from Rogers, a pretty dark orange tiered ruffle number by ALEXIS, and an eye-catching apple green swing dress with a daisy pattern from the RIXO team.

Items are priced between $40 and $60 (£29 - £43) and range in size from XXS-4X.

The Designer Dress Collection will be available to purchase from select stores and Target's website for a limited time this spring.
