Christine McGuinness has confessed she is currently "having a very, very difficult time" in her marriage to TV presenter Paddy McGuinness.

There has been speculation about the status of the couple's relationship in recent months, with some noting a missing tattoo on Paddy's hand as well as their recent, separate holidays.

Christine told OK! earlier this week that the pair were "really good" at the moment, but she has now admitted to The Sun that things are not quite perfect.

“I’m feeling really quite raw and all over the place," said Christine, adding: "I can’t deny we are having a very, very difficult time."

But the 34-year-old model said that "you've got to expect" periods like this amid such a long relationship.

The couple met while she was a teenager and married in 2011. They have three children, who are all on the autism spectrum.

Christine said: "When you’ve been together for so long, you’re gonna have ups and downs. Everyone grows and changes and we’ve grown as a family, which is amazing.

"You know, that family bond will always be there no matter what but yeah, I was a teenager when I met him and I’m a 34-year-old woman now, so I suppose what I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now and same for him."

Christine has spoken openly in recent years, alongside Paddy, about parenting their autistic children, with Christine herself also diagnosed with autism.

The couple made the acclaimed documentary Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism for the BBC, which aired in 2021 and featured candid admissions about their lives.

This year, Christine was one of the contestants on celebrity sports competition The Games for ITV, in which she and other celebrities competed in a series of Olympics-inspired events.

The series was won by Love Island star Wes Nelson on the men's side and singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes for the women.
