Christine McGuinness takes children to school for some 'normality'
Christine McGuinness has said she took her three autistic children back to school to give them some “normality”.
The star and her husband Paddy McGuinness are parents to six-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and four-year-old Felicity, who are all autistic, and Christine previously admitted they were “struggling” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The star said she had mixed emotions as they visited school but was very proud of the way they handled it.
Writing on Instagram, she said: "Mums famous quote 'I'm fine'.
"It's a mixture of emotions, the children visiting school is some normality but it's also so different. I feel happy, sad, anxious, excited!

"But ultimately... I'm a very proud mummy! My little trio have been total superstars."
The star has been open about struggling during lockdown, saying during a recent appearance on Loose Women that she felt as if her children had “gone back two years” in terms of their development.

Last week she shared a picture of one of her children climbing into a bouncy castle at their home, saying it was “bittersweet” because they had all been too anxious to play on it until then.
She wrote: “Ok so I wanted to caption this image something fun like ‘P.E done’ ... But the truth is, this is a bitter sweet moment.
“Bitter because we have had this mini castle for months and our children have regressed so much personally, emotionally they’re filled with fear and anxiety about going outside, even in our own garden, they haven’t actually played on it yet.
“Sweet because finally one of them tried, this was the only moment, it lasted 1-2 minutes. But I’ll take the positives, one step at a time, well done baby!”
