Christie Brinkley’s latest look brought the heat to the chilly streets of New York.
The 65-year-old model waved to photographers as she arrived at “Good Day New York” to promote her new line of sparkling wines, Belissima Prosecco. The “Uptown Girl” turned heads in a green monochrome look, featuring a knit sweater tucked into a pair of belted hunter green leather pants, $1,650 faux fur coat from Burberry and pair of cognac coloured ankle boots.
Fans of Brinkley took to social media to rave about her skin-tight leather ensemble writing, “Christie looks absolutely fabulous. You can tell she’s a perfectionist, she gets nothing wrong!”
“She looks about 45-years-old,” another raved. “I applaud her!”
Despite looking flawless, Brinkley revealed to host Rosanna Scotto that she’s still recovering from a fall in Sept. 2019 that left her unable to compete on “Dancing With the Stars.” While rehearsing for the reality-competition, Brinkley broke her arm after she tripped over her dancing partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy’s foot.
“I have a frozen shoulder,” Brinkley revealed. “It’s really tight and it just doesn’t want to move.”
The mother-of-three is set to undergo a procedure to help her regain movement, but revealed she has yet to forgive her critics who accused her of faking her injury. At the time of her fall, TV show host Wendy Williams suggested Brinkley orchestrated the fall so that her daughter, model Sailor Brinkley-Cook, could step in and replace her.
“Having been a model for almost 50 years, these things roll right off my back. But when it effects somebody else - my daughter is just starting out,” the supermodel said. “She doesn’t need me to be faking injuries to get her a job. How insulting is that?”
When pressed for the secret to her age-defying looks, Brinkley credited her appearance to her vegetarian diet.
“I really believe in plant based diets. i’ve been a vegetarian for over 50 years...I believe that it’s played a part in my aging process, my energy and everything. Being a vegetarian has been very good for me.”
