Chris Evans of Avengers fame made a big social media faux pas over the weekend, when he accidentally shared an unidentified nude photo on his Instagram Stories. Oops.

If you asked us to name a social media related nightmare of ours, the chances are sharing a sexy selfie to our profile would probably come top three. And while there's no clarification as to who the penis pic was actually of, it's still pretty blush-worthy.

The actor, 39, shared a short video to his Instagram Stories on Saturday of him playing the Heads Up game with some friends. At the end of the video, which was a screen record from the app, the actor's phone camera roll came up, and featured a close-up photo of a penis.

Another picture showed Chris's face alongside a text that read: "Guard that p***y."

Unsurprisingly, the clip was shortly deleted - but not before social media was set alight with reactions. "Chris Evans did it deliberately to feel alive," one person joked, while another added, "Chris Evans leaking his own nudes is my favourite thing ever. Okay daddy we see you."

It goes without saying that the actor's privacy should be respected, and that after Chris deleted the accidental nude leak, it shouldn't be shared any further. So far, the Avengers: End Game actor hasn't commented on the video.

Many have showed support for him on social media, though, with co-star Mark Ruffalo tweeting, "Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See… silver lining."

Chrissy Teigen added, "My WhatsApp automatically saves every photo to my roll so any boobs in my phone are my girlfriends showing me their boobs or boobs they hate or boobs they love or yeah def also my boobs. I’d say 80 percent of my roll is WhatsApp nonsense between friends."

Don't worry Chris, could've happened to anyone.
