She is one of the most glamorous stars around – and now Cher has given an insight into her rather relatable beauty routine.

The singer and actress, 75, revealed that eyelash curlers are her "desert island" item, and shared her go-to foaming cleanser.

She told The Sunday Times' Style magazine: "My mother always said, 'If you are on a desert island, you should take an eyelash curler with you,' so that would be my number one must-have.

"I have used eyelash curlers my whole life."

Cher likewise noted that while she has "pretty good skin" naturally, she also takes particular steps to look after complexion too.

She said: "I take care of it and get a facial once in a while but I am not religious about any of it. I use Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser on my face because it’s for sensitive skin and I love it.

"I use that with my Clarisonic cleansing brush, the soft one. I don’t sleep in my make-up. I am pretty religious about taking it off."

Cher also opened up about how her confidence when it comes to her appearance has changed over the years.

The Mamma Mia actress admitted she's not "crazy" about her seventies, but that she was going "strong, strong, strong at 60".

She also noted that her 95-year-old mother is really "beautiful", and jokes that she envies that she still "looks so good".

It comes after the star – who rose to fame in the 1960s singing alongside husband Sonny Bono – recently insisted that she will never embrace grey hair.

Speaking to People magazine, she said: "[Going grey] is fine for other girls. I'm just not doing it!"
