One staple event of the show is the Chelsea Garden Product of the Year competition, which recognises the best garden products on the market at that time. The postponement of the 2020 and 2021 shows meant the winners for both years were announced digitally instead and we have all the results below.

To make the final selection, the best garden products are judged by a panel of experts, which took place virtually earlier this year. Chelsea Flower Show: best garden products

The winner of the Chelsea Garden Product of the Year 2021 was Ocean Plastic Pots which are made in the UK from recycled fishing ropes and nets.

The shortlisted best garden products from the awards list for 2021 were on display when the Chelsea Flower Show returned for its first autumn show in September last year.

In 2020, the winner was the Vegepod Vegebag, a garden growing tool that allows gardeners of all abilities to produce fantastic crops in small spaces all year round. A People's Choice winner, voted for by Chelsea's virtual visitors, was also chosen for 2020, which was the Wilstone Potting table. Sustainability and small-space growing were among the key themes for the contest in 2020.

Among the shortlisted and runner up best gardening products, there were plenty of eco-friendly buys, from sustainable garden twine to biodegradable flower pots. There were also plenty of innovative options for anyone working with a small outdoor space, from compact grow-houses to clever mowers designed with petite gardens in mind.
