The Artisan Cheese Awards were held in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, which is about 30 miles from the village of Stilton. The awards are designed to support medium to small firms producing cheese commercially in the UK and Ireland. Only those producing less than 400 tons of cheese per annum may enter.
