Charles Saatchi's famous partners: From Trinny Woodall split rumours to Nigella's 'traumatic' marriage
Billionaire Charles Saatchi, 79, was married three times before he began dating Trinny Woodall, with whom he has reportedly split.
The Saatchi & Saatchi co-founder first wed Doris Lockhart in 1973, but they divorced in 1990, the same year he married his second wife Kay Hartenstein. They ended their marriage in 2001, and he went on to tie the knot with TV chef Nigella Lawson.
They separated in 2013 shortly after photos emerged of Charles with his hand on her neck, and he has been dating This Morning fashion star Trinny for the past decade. With rumours circulating about the couple's relationship, we've taken a look back at Charles' famous partners…
Trinny Woodall
Charles has his first wife Kay Hartenstein to thank for his relationship with Trinny! She reportedly drew up a short list of women who he might like to date back in 2013.
However, Trinny has left fans wondering if she has ended their 10-year relationship by sharing cryptic posts on social media about "big life changes." There are reports that she has moved out of their London home, which was only fuelled by her recent trip to her chalet in France.
She wrote on Instagram, "I have looked out at this view for the last 30 years of my life. It’s the one consistent view I have ever had.

"Recently, with the big life change and moving house, it was important for me to come back here with (my daughter) Lyla and family just to have that moment, listen to the birds, be at one with nature. Very healing."
Trinny commented on her living situation with Charles in 2021, stating that she is financially self-sufficient. "Any friend who's known me for years will know I'm the most self-sufficient person they've ever met. I know how hard I work.
"I know I pay for every single thing in my life apart from the roof over my head because I live with Charles."
She added that she has "grown up a lot" and praised Charles' support for her career. "I don't let myself get away with stuff, so if I have a kind of outrage he'll go: 'Really, are you kidding?' And then I'll go upstairs and think: 'OK, let me grow up now.'
"I think that's what happens when you are with somebody who has been through a lot in their life, and there is nobody who is more supportive of my business and jobs in terms of being my champion," explained the beauty mogul.
Nigella Lawson
Charles was reportedly introduced to his third wife Nigella through her husband John Diamond, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2001. Charles claimed: "Nigella and I began our relationship during the last six months of her husband John Diamond’s life, rather than after his death as she (Nigella) stated in court.
"Looking back at that time, I very deeply regret that this betrayal of John occurred." However, Nigella has denied this claim and insisted they did not begin dating until after John – the father of her children Cosima and Bruno – passed away. She also told Vanity Fair that Charles was no longer with his ex-wife Kay at the time.
Charles and Nigella ended their relationship after the advertising mogul was pictured by Sunday People in June 2013 holding her throat during lunch at Scott's in Mayfair. During an appearance in Isleworth Crown Court, he described it as a "playful tiff" while she said she had commented on her desire to become a grandmother when the incident occurred.
Charles accepted a police caution for assault and one month later, they were granted a decree nisi, subsequently ending their ten-year marriage.
The celebrity food writer made a rare comment about the "trauma" she went through amid their divorce in an interview with The Irish Times in 2019. "It was generally about feeling exposed and under attack," she shared. "In a way, it would have been much better for me to be able to speak openly."
She added: "It goes against my nature not to. But I do think that becoming a tabloid story, and everything I went through then, shame, various things, in a way gave me a form of trauma of its own. And I don't think I've addressed that enough to talk about it."
