This charity picks up and recycles all your unwanted clothes for free

From Cosmopolitan

If you've spent a decent amount of lockdown clearing our your wardrobe and now find yourself with multiple bags of clothes labelled 'charity' lurking in your house, you're not alone.

Maybe you're waiting for your friend with a car to offer to drive you to the shop so you can drop them off without pulling a muscle in your back, or perhaps you've been meaning to walk them there yourself but haven't got round to it yet. Alternatively, the thought of popping to the shops might not feel terribly appealing right now - whatever the reason, the bags are now collecting dust (and taking up valuable space) in your home.

Well, good news: there's a charity that will come and collect your clothing donations for free. Yup, TRAID has resumed its handy dandy service that makes giving you pre-loved goodies to charity even easier. As part of their ongoing sustainable fashion mission of promoting second-hand clothing, reducing waste and donating to projects improving industry working conditions, the charity offers a pick-up service completely free of charge.

The best part? You can book your collection slot online so you know exactly when they're coming (something we wish we could say for some online shopping couriers).

"Our friendly drivers will collect donations from you at an agreed time which means you don’t have to leave them outside," reads the website. "Plus, our vans are branded with TRAID’s charity livery so you know it’s us."

So what're you waiting for? It's time to wave 'adios' to that pile of clothes sitting in the corner of your room. You'll also get to do your bit for the environment which is pretty neat. After all, sustainability isn't just about where you buy clothes, it's also about what you do after you're done with them.

Jump on over to the TRAID website for more information on booking a home collection.
