Channing Tatum posed in a rather unusual but definitely fun setting in his latest Instagram post, surrounded by stuffed toys he sat while reading in fairy wings, a princess eye mask and paint splattered apron.
But he explained it all in the caption, revealing the book he's holding in the snap, The one and only Sparkella, is in fact a new one he has written.
The star told fans: "Guys, I don’t know about you but things got a little weird for me in quarantine. I ended up accidentally locking myself in my 7-year-old daughter’s room. And I ended up finding my inner child. So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me. Thanks for reading."
The book is about self-confidence and about the special bond between father and daughter. Channing is dad to a daughter, Everly, and clearly drew inspiration from their relationship.
Having got over a million likes within 12 hours of posting, it seems fans were loving the announcement.
The book sounds like it teaches really important lessons too.
The description reads: "Ella is excited for her first day at a new school. Glimmering pencil case? Check! Shimmering backpack? Check! Glittery ribbons in her hair? Check!
"She can't wait to meet the other kids and share her sparkly personality. But her first day doesn't go quite as planned: Her new classmates don't like her disco-ball shoes, her PB&J-with-sprinkles sandwich, or her rainbow-y unicorn painting.
"Ella decides to try to be less sparkly at school the next day so the other kids won't make fun of her. But with a little help from her dad, she soon learns the importance of just being herself, no matter what other people say."
We've all felt the need to fit in at some point, and it looks like Channing is setting a great example to his daughter of being true to yourself. The book is available to pre-order now for release May 2021.
